What's that smell?
Smells like another contest. For those fighting off stinky dog or cat odor, tell your story to SeaYu Enterprises. Tour ticket savings
Early birds get the biggest savings on tickets for the Wake Forest Well-Dressed Garden Tour and Garden Art Show coming up April 23 and 24. Tickets purchased this month for the event cost $5; beginning in April and during the tour, tickets will be $10. This year's tour showcases 12 gardens within walking distance along North Main Street in historic Wake Forest. Visitors, keep cameras handy to snap up ideas for your own outdoor spaces as the privately owned gardens will include such lush lovelies as century-old trees and newly designed garden spaces. In the tradition of the event, each of the gardens will be "well-dressed" and adorned with artwork and the works' creator. Browse or buy unique garden sculptures in clay, metal and mixed media or paintings, pottery, stained glass and all types of other garden-theme creations. Tour hours will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 23 and noon to 4 p.m. April 24. Tickets can be purchased at: Atlantic Avenue Orchid and Garden Center (878-8877), the Cotton Company (570-0087), Martin House & Garden (570-7340), Post Nursery (554-4002), The Purple Poppy (562-1402) and Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce (556-1519). On the days of the tour, tickets can be purchased at the Birthplace on North Main Street or the Herb Fest held in downtown Wake Forest next to the Cotton Company.
